OSHA requires all employers to provide a medical evaluation to determine an employee’s ability to use a respirator prior to respirator use occuring in the work place and fit testing. OSHA MedCert is an online respirator medical evaluation that is based on and complies with OSHA respiratory compliance requirements.
The OSHA MedCert online respirator medical compliance program can improve productivity and return on investment by keeping employees at the facility for respirator testing; not sending them to an off-site facility for testing.
The Survivair OSHA MedCert program is a quick, inexpensive and reliable online medical evaluation designed for businesses and governmental agencies to help comply with the OSHA requirements.
Speed
- With a PC connected to the internet (home or office) and 10-15 minutes, a respirator user is able to complete the requirements to obtain OSHA medical compliance through OSHA MedCert.
- Employees and employers receive instant notification of the results and can print a certification, with a physician’s signature, upon passing.
Convenience
- With the Survivair OSHA MedCert program, most employees no longer need to leave the facility to visit a physician.
- OSHA MedCert provides respirator medical evaluations for all brands and types of respirators.
Cost Savings
- The Survivair OSHA MedCert program offers a tremendous savings when compared to a medical evaluation at a physician’s office.
- Over the course of a year, the OSHA MedCert program can save a small business over $2,500 and large businesses over $17,000 or more!*
- An estimated average savings of $170 per person, per year!
Scalable
- Whether you have 1 or 10,000 employees OSHA MedCert will work for you and can grow with your company.
- With internet connectivity, employees are able to complete the OSHA MedCert evaluation nationwide.
Manageable
- Managers can purchase and use MedCert access codes for immediate needs and file excess access codes for future needs, such as new hires.
- Respiratory managers have the ability to log and track employees progress online.
Reliable
- Board certified physicians review evaluations and issue clearance certificates; and when needed, make a recommendation for further testing by a physician.
- Certified safety professionals provide expert oversight.
- All employees are evaluated using the same, non-biased, OSHA respirator medical evaluation questionnaire.
*Cost savings case study calculates OSHA MedCert at $29.99 and a physician’s office visit at $200. Small businesses were assumed to have 15 respiratory users and large businesses were assumed to have 100 respiratory users.
